Nancy and I went white water kayaking yesterday and we were in boats called Duckies. Let me just say that we were so lucky we didn't get stucky.
Winter and Mark joined us, and thanks to their friends we all went together on the trip down the CO River. We had a great time and the rapids were fun! The early morning kayak adventure got our hearts racing, and we hopefully got some good pictures thanks to a waterproof camera we purchased at Wal Mart beforehand. Then after the Wet n Wild boat ride we met Nina for lunch at a Wrap joint in Aspen. We said adios to Mark and Winter and they headed for Sante Fe. Lunch and ice cream in Aspen was great and the Burberry shopping was definitely the cherry on top of our afternoon.
I'd like to take the time to mention a little bit about our evening. Nancy and I went to the rodeo in Snowmass and then caught the second half of Nina's concert. The concert was sold out, but thankfully were able to stand outside.
We went from the rodeo to the ballet...and loved it. How great is it that we have an open appreciation for all things artistic. Both shows were incredible to watch. We have discovered boots are very versatile...I wore mine to both the Rodeo and the Ballet. Well...I guess life really is a dance and no matter what shoes you wear, you've got to be ready for anything and learn as you go.
I know the blog has been lacking the last couple of days...but I will come back to it hopefully tonight.
I don't want to say goodbye to Nina, but we must move forward. I'll see her again soon though.
TEXAS here we come. I'm sure tonight the blog will be bigger....
