Nina

This morning we left the Crystal Inn behind us. It was a semi precious hotel...a real gem of a place. Or as Winter put it, a "sterling establishment". We did not leave quietly however. We had an interesting wake up call aka the FIRE ALARM went off. So after a blast of an awakening, Nancy and I headed to Glenwood Springs. Then the long awaited event occurred! We made it to Aspen and met up with Nina!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot put into words or even begin to accurately describe the feeling of seeing Nina! Nancy and I were so excited! Just as we were to surprise Winter in the Denver Airport! So here we are...best friends and sisters alike all together at last. I am so incredibly thankful for these loves that endure any and everything...these friendships that never fail, and for the bonds that we all share collectively and individually. I do however feel as though some people are missing from this equation. If you are reading this on the East Coast right now....YOU ARE ONE OF THEM!!!!

It's a clear night in Colorado...and the blanket of stars will cover us tonight. We'll need rest for tomorrow...because cough cough we are going to HIT THE SHOPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gucci...Prada...Dior....Fendi...Burberry HERE WE COME! This trip has been amusing in the fact that Nancy and I have truly been on all ends of the spectrum. In a way, it has taught us a lot about ourselves. So the lesson here...just because we are roughing it with camping...eating instant oatmeal, instant noodles, instant EVERYTHING (goo!), doesn't mean that I can clean up in a hurry...put that swing back into my walk, let my hair down, turn up the southern drawl and finesse my way through some designer shops. Look out VISA Bill here I come.


PS: Mom, no worries. While in Colorado I've picked up a little bit more....hmmm shall we say exaggeration. So there won't be an outrageous Visa bill. I'll just pay cash.
